4th Hungarian Future Internet Conference and Smart City Exhibition

Future Internet is one of the main driving force of innovation nowadays, and a key element of deploying Internet Ecosystems and Networked Society all over the world. The 4th Hungarian Future Internet Conference is the national forum of the next generation Internet in Hungary in 2017 as the previous conferences were in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The 4th conference also overviews the research trends of Internet technologies and focuses on Smart City issues, however the conference programme is extended into two days and a Smart City Exhibition is joined, providing a wider occasion to present research results, Smart City opportunities and challenges, plans and solutions, as well as to personal meeting of researchers, business experts and City leaders.
The joint event of the 4th Hungarian Future Internet Conference (in Hungarian: Magyar Jövő Internet Konferencia, MJIK 2017) and the Smart City Exhibition (Okos Város Kiállítás, OVK 2017) will be held at November 8-9, 2017, and hosted by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in the Central Building (1111 Budapest, Műegyetem rkp. 3.). The co-organisers are the National University of Public Service (NKE), the Scientific Association for Infocommunications (HTE), the Future Internet National Technology Platform (FI NTP) and the Future Internet Research Coordination Centre (FIRCC). The MJIK 2017 is involved in the programme of the Month of Sciences, edited by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
The languages of the two-day event are Hungarian and English. The Conference is to have five sessions, the exhibition is open under and beyond the conference. The first day’s morning session is devoted to the Smart City trends, plans and experiments, the afternoon sessions to the Internet trends and research results. The second day is the review of the Smart City issues including strategic planning and best practices, societal impact and engineering solutions, as well as demonstrations of exhibited products.
You are welcome to send your proposal for presenting a paper and your intention to exhibit in the topic of the event by the end of August. Also, please register to the MJIK 2017 on www.hte.hu/mjik2017 without registration fee. The program of the Conference will be also shown on this site.
